In the Beginning

The Bible is a confusing topic sometimes. You could ask three people what the Bible is and you would probably get four answers. It's the best-selling book of all time, but we seem to be divided and confused about it.

What is the Bible all about? Is it a bunch of unrelated statements and moral sayings? Or is there an overarching theme that holds it all together? In this series, we are going to look at what the purpose of the Bible is and the difference it can make.

To start, we need to look at the beginning and see what the purpose of Genesis 1 might have been and how our current understanding of origins fit within it.

Are sex and love interchangeable? Is sex ever just sex? Is the bible anti-sex? As a culture, we have certain views about sex and sexuality that have changed and evolved as time has gone on. But is it good? Are they right? Could there be something better that God has in mind when it comes to sex that is much better than what our culture is telling us?
