Wonderful Counsellor

In Isaiah 9, we are given an incredible birth announcement of the King that comes on Christmas! Through this prophecy, we find that heaven knew Jesus by a few other names, namely, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Throughout December, we will study the names Jesus is "called" and what it means that He came to dwell among us on Christmas!

Do You Have Humility?

Do you relate to people with humility and love? That’s the way of Jesus. Forgiveness is the difference Jesus should make in us. We should have the ability to forgive those who have wronged us - and give new opportunities to trust. We should see each other as equals. Jesus made himself a servant - and for us, we should do the same.

Is Life Meaningless?

We all have days where nothing seems to go right. Where everything that can go wrong does. Sometimes that may make us feel like nothing can ever go right. But is there more to life than things going right or wrong? Is our life a meaningless series of random events? Or is there purpose found in the randomness of life?

What we think about our every day ordinary random life is a reflection on what we believe about God. This message will explore the connection to our beliefs about God and our daily lives.

Are People Inherently Good Or Bad?

Often we here people say "That person is a good person," when they do something nice. But what makes them good? Are they always good? What about people who do nice things one day and not nice things the next, are they still good? What about people we view as bad? Are they always bad? This message will look at what the Bible says about us as people, and why it matters.

Is Truth Absolute or Relative?

Today many people say that you should live your truth. But what is truth? Many of us have different ideas on what that word means and how we decide what truth is. Is truth something that is universal? or does truth relative to the circumstances and context? If truth is relative what do we do when our truth disagrees with someone else's? Who is more true? This message will explore the biblical baseline for what is truth.

What is the Foundation of Your Life?

We all view the world through our own lens. Some of us see the world based on our experiences. If something feels good, it is good. Some of us based on our education. If we are told something is good, it is good. But seeing the world in either of these ways is subjective, as we each feel and learn different things. So what do we do when we disagree?

A worldview asks the question "What is real?" and from there develops our beliefs, values and behaviours around that belief. In the first week of this series we will explore what it means to have a biblical worldview and where we get that view from.
